Job role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize our infrastructure and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, DB Administration, MySQL, and Postgres. Expertise in debugging, security, Aptible, AWS services, network security groups, Docker, Nginx, load balancing, and server monitoring is essential.
In addition to this, you will work cross-functionally within the Company team to understand broader product and engineering initiatives and how the engineering team can have an impact on the shared vision of the business. This position reports directly to the VP of Product Engineering at ChartRequest.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Set up and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to track application and infrastructure performance.
Utilize Git for version control, including managing code repositories, branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.
Perform Linux system administration tasks including installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers.
Oversee AWS services such as EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, CloudFront, RDS, EKS, and Redis
Debug and identify issues in systems and applications, providing temporary fixes and implementing long-term solutions.
Implement and manage automation workflows using Docker and other deployment automation tools.
Configure and manage network security groups to ensure secure and efficient networking within cloud environments.
Administer Nginx for web server management and load balancing to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
Maintain and monitor servers to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Utilize Aptible for secure infrastructure management and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
